With the public’s increased interest in applied psychology, new PhD programs that blend social and industrial/organizational psychology are forming and attracting more students. New Summer Psychology Forum Now Accepting Applications
Proposals are needed for our inaugural Summer Psychology Forum being held in St Louis this August. This is your chance to design programming around your own innovative theme and work with our staff to bring your idea to life. Submit your proposal here by October 31.
 
Call for Nominations: 2019 Alan T. Waterman Award
The winner of this award—the National Science Foundation’s highest honor for early-career researchers—will receive a research grant of $1,000,000 over a five-year period. Nominations are due by October 22, 2018.
 
Join the #SPSP2019 Twitter Team
Coming to Portland? Do you love tweeting science? Share your excitement leading up to the convention, and then tweet your perspectives from the events and sessions.
 
Apply or Nominate a Peer for a SAGE Young Scholar Award
Are you 3-7 years into your first academic faculty position? These $5,000 awards recognize young researchers who have demonstrated exceptional achievements. Apply or nominate a peer by October 15.
 
Students: Apply for $2,000 to Fund Your Dissertation Research
At least two grants will be awarded each in personality psychology and social psychology. The deadline to apply for a Heritage Dissertation Research Award is October 15.
 
Apply for a Small Research Grant
With awards of up $1,500, these grants can help get your study or project off the ground. The deadline for the current submission period is November 15.
 
Apply for a Small Conference Grant
Small grants up to $10,000 are available to members to help support the development of small conferences relevant to the field. New communities forming within the broader SPSP membership are encouraged to apply.
